Last week, my friends and I headed to Paint + Canvas, a drink wine while painting your own art studio. There was a sample painting that we each copied to take home with us. What a fun and relaxing way to spend an evening! It only took about 2 hours, and was a perfect way to spend a Wednesday night… Make time, and go paint!
Happy Monday! It’s a dreary one today in Nashville, and I can’t think of a better project to work on than a birthday party to brighten my day- my sweet friend Tiffany’s birthday is coming up in a few weeks, and some friends and I are throwing her a party. She picked the theme, but we’re putting together the whole thing.
Theme = “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” but we’re calling it “Brunch at Tiffany’s” and everyone comes in PJs and pearls
Color scheme = the famous Tiffany blue
I’m getting so excited for the party, just 10 short days away! Here’s a sneak peak into what’s to come…
Just a FEW of the party supplies!

When Mom was in town a few weekends ago, we stumbled upon this FANTASTIC outdoor concert benefiting the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, called Miles and Music for Kids. Why had it taken me so long to come across this great event?? I’m hoping to now make it an annual tradition. It was a picture perfect Sunday afternoon at Riverfront Park, warm and sunny without a cloud in the sky.
Nashville on a wonderful late October day
Dierks Bentley puts this show on each year, with an assortment of featured artists. Highlights of this year’s concert included the Eli Young Band, Charles Kelley from Lady A, Josh Thompson, and so many more!
Just one of the many reasons why Nashville is such a great place to live!
Love when Mom comes to visit!
Happy Halloween! I hope you’re enjoying some sweet treats and pumpkin goodness today!
As with any holiday, I definitely most enjoy decorating and baking and getting friends together for a good time. And… Halloween is no different. I thought today would be fitting to post about the pumpkin party I had last week!
I invited my sweet friends over to decorate pumpkins and enjoy some pumpkin themed treats (decorating is WAY less messy than carving, and less smelly too). I went to Michael’s with mom when she was in town a few weekends ago, and we had super difficult time choosing which supplies to get- both of us in a craft store = creativity GALORE, and wanted to take the whole store home. We decided on sequins, glitter glue, ribbon, ribbon, ribbon, feathers, paints, googly eyes, ribbon and more ribbon!
Table set up for decorating
For treats, I made pumpkin shaped cut out cookies, pumpkin oatmeal spice cookies (the favorite by far), pumpkin cupcakes with pumpkin-spiced cream cheese frosting, and acorns. I also made apple cider with cinnamon sticks and snack mix with candy corn, of course! I tried to send leftover treats home with friends, but (unfortunately) was still stuck with a massive amount of sugary goodness, so have been munching on leftovers for a while…
It was such a fun way to celebrate fall and relax mid-week! The pumpkins turned out adorably…
